With great joy, we share that on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, we will have the precious opportunity to listen to Venerable Ajahn Brahmali, who will offer a live talk entitled:
Renunciation: the Fast Path to Nibbāna
In this talk, Ajahn Brahmali will explore the profound value of renunciation and the great benefits of the monastic path as a direct way toward liberation, shared from the lived experience of a monk with almost three decades of ordained life.
The talk will be given in English, with simultaneous translation into Spanish by Aleix Ruiz-Falqués.
Copied! About Ajahn Brahmali
Born in Norway in 1964, Ajahn Brahmali became interested in Buddhism and meditation in his early 20s. Having completed degrees in Engineering and Finance, he became an Anagarika (keeping the Eight Precepts) in England at Amaravati and Chithurst Buddhist Monasteries.
After hearing Ajahn Brahm’s teachings, Ajahn Brahmali went to Australia and trained at Bodhinyana Monastery in 1994. he was fully ordained in 1996 with Ajahn Brahm being his preceptor.
Renowned for his knowledge of the Pali language and of the Suttas, Bhikkhu Bodhi calls Ajahn Brahmali a “major helper” for his translation of the Numerical discourses of the Buddha.
Ajahn Brahmali has published essays on Depenent Origination and has coauthored a book with Bhante Sujato called The Authenticity of the Early Buddhist Texts.
A highly sought after teacher in Australia, Europe, Singapure, Indonesia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka, he makes the teaching of the Buddha easily accessible to all.
