Saraṇa Vihāra cares about online privacy and we are committed to doing all we can to respect and protect your privacy. This privacy statement outlines the information we gather from visitors to our site and how we handle it.

Information Collection

We do not directly collect any data from visitors to our site apart from information sent to us through our contact forms. We do not use cookies, analytics software, or tracking technologies to monitor your behavior or gather information about your visit.

We use third party services to handled donations and the data they collect is govered by their own privacy policies (please see Donation Processing below).

Contact Forms

Messages sent to us via contact forms are taken care of by our volunteers. Any information submited using a form on our website will be accessibly by all team members helping with our main email account.

We will only ask for the information necessary to fulfill requests you make, such as your name and email address. We strongly recommend that you do not send any sensitive information through our forms as it should never be needed to complete a request.

Our site uses Resend , a GDPR-compliant email service, to send replies to any contact forms visitors submit. We have not enabled any of Resend’s tracking features. Donation Processing

We use the following third-party services to process donations:

  • PayPal: The PayPal donation widget used on our site does not add any additional cookies, analytics software, or tracking technologies to our site, but usage of the widget is subject to PayPal’s privacy policy and the data collection and handling practices it stipulates.

  • The Giving Block (TGB): For cryptocurrency donations, we have created a dedicated TGB donation page. Before loading the TBG donation widget on this page we ask for consent as it may add non-essential cookies and/or scripts. Usage of the TGB widget is subject to TGB’s privacy policy and the data collection and handling practices it stipulates.

Data sharing

The only data we directly collect comes from contact forms submitted to us ( see above for more info ). We do not share this information with any third parties except Resend for the exclusive purpose of fulfilling requests you make.

We may update this statement from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the date they were made will be given at the bottom.
